Shining Star offers a preschool learning experience for children ages 3 years old to 5 years old. The Shining Star Early Childhood Center is the preschool program of the Milford Public Schools. We have five integrated preschool classrooms, with up to fifteen children in each room.

Shining Star also offers substantially separate programs for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Additionally, we have one classroom for students with severe special needs who may also have significant or complex medical issues.
Our preschool is closely linked with the Kindergarten programs at Memorial and Brookside Elementary Schools. We begin using the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks, which is continued throughout the school system. Our program is individualized and developmentally appropriate.
Shining Star is proud to announce that we have been accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) for over fifteen years.
The staff is a group of 40 highly professional, dedicated and nurturing individuals who are committed to educating young children.
